Welcome to StepsUp Careers. These Terms & Conditions explain the terms under which StepsUp Careers provides Career Guidance, employability support, career development and related services. By booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
StepsUp Careers is based in Ireland and provides services to clients in Ireland, the UK and beyond, including through online sessions where appropriate.
- Services Provided
StepsUp Careers provides personalised Career Guidance and employability support. Services may include Career Guidance, career exploration and planning, CV development and review, LinkedIn profile support, job-search strategies, Interview Preparation, Personal Progress Plans (PPP), Employment Support, and follow-up guidance.
The specific service provided will depend on the individual client’s needs and what has been agreed before or during the engagement.
2. Career Guidance and Outcomes
StepsUp Careers provides guidance, support, information and practical tools to help clients make informed career and employment decisions. Clients remain responsible for their own career decisions, job applications and actions taken as a result of the guidance provided.
While StepsUp Careers aims to support clients in improving their employability and career direction, no guarantee can be made regarding employment, interview invitations, job offers, promotions, salary levels or any other specific career outcome.
3. Bookings and Appointments
Appointments may be arranged directly with StepsUp Careers through the contact methods or booking options made available on the website or through other agreed communication channels.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate contact information and for attending appointments at the agreed date and time. If an appointment needs to be changed or cancelled, clients are asked to provide as much notice as reasonably possible.
4. Fees and Payments
Any fees applicable to a service will be communicated to the client before the service is confirmed. Fees may vary depending on the type, duration or format of the service provided.
Where payment is required, the client agrees to pay the agreed fee using the payment method arranged with StepsUp Careers. Any applicable payment terms will be communicated before the service is provided.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
If a client needs to cancel or reschedule an appointment, they should contact StepsUp Careers as soon as reasonably possible.
Any cancellation, rescheduling or refund arrangements will be communicated to the client when the service is booked and will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law. Where a service has already been fully or partially provided, any refund will take account of the service already delivered, where permitted by law.
6. Client Responsibilities
Clients are expected to provide accurate and relevant information to enable StepsUp Careers to provide appropriate Career Guidance and employability support.
Clients are responsible for reviewing documents and information prepared or discussed during the service and for ensuring that any CV, LinkedIn profile, job application or other material submitted to an employer accurately represents their qualifications, skills and experience.
StepsUp Careers will not knowingly assist with false or misleading information in CVs, job applications or other employment-related materials.
7. Confidentiality and Privacy
StepsUp Careers respects the privacy and confidentiality of clients. Personal information shared in connection with our services will be handled appropriately and in accordance with applicable data protection law.

Clients should avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive personal information when communicating by email, social media or other online channels.
8. Intellectual Property
Materials, resources, templates and other content created by StepsUp Careers and provided as part of its services are for the client’s personal use unless otherwise agreed.
These materials may not be copied, reproduced, sold, published or distributed for commercial purposes without prior permission from StepsUp Careers.
Clients retain ownership of their own personal information and documents supplied to StepsUp Careers.
9. Limitation of Liability
StepsUp Careers will provide its services with reasonable care and professionalism. However, career and employment decisions involve many factors outside the control of StepsUp Careers.
To the extent permitted by law, StepsUp Careers will not be responsible for losses arising from decisions made by a client or by an employer, recruiter or other third party based on information, guidance or materials provided through the service.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
10. Online and Remote Services
Some StepsUp Careers services may be delivered online or remotely using video calls, telephone, email or other agreed communication methods.
Clients are responsible for having suitable internet access, equipment and a reasonably private environment when participating in online sessions. StepsUp Careers cannot be held responsible for interruptions or technical problems outside its reasonable control.
If a technical issue significantly affects a scheduled session, StepsUp Careers and the client will make reasonable efforts to arrange an appropriate solution.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any dispute arising in connection with the services provided by StepsUp Careers will be dealt with in accordance with applicable Irish law, without affecting any rights a client may have under applicable consumer protection law.
12. Changes to These Terms
StepsUp Careers may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to its services, business practices or applicable legal requirements.
